Unspoken

The Avengers

Clint was compromised. Natasha drops everything for him and comes running.

Everyone talks about the bad situation. Only Natasha stares at a digital screening of Clint, worrying what is happening to him.

Natasha is by all means affected by the thought that Clint of all people is forced to kill her as well as by how much he would suffer realizing what he had done.

Clint is the only one who calls Natasha "Tasha".

Natasha barely keeps her feelings in check after she had survived the to the death fight with Clint. She is in shock at how close she was being forced to kill him to save herself or being killed by him.

In the aftermath of the fight they are very close. She sits on his bed. She gives him something to drink. He confides his intimate feelings and fears to her while Loki possessed him. When she unties him, her hand brushes his crotch. They look deep into each other's eyes. They sit close to each other. He knows she is not alright. She only tells him half of the truth, not able to confess how much Loki's evil promise had affected her.

When Steve talks to Natasha, Clint comes out of the bathroom like, Hey you! I'm her man, okay? Don't even try to hit on her. Oh yeah, he's marking his territory.

Not being under Loki's influence anymore, Natasha never ever once doubts Clint's loyalty.

Okay. Whatever happened in Budapest, it's a matter only those two know about. It's a secretive matter by all means. An intimate memory they keep to themselves.

Chased by Loki, Natasha asks for Clint's help. Does she ever ask anyone else for help? I'm not sure. Clint helps, slightly concerned, but not worried. He trusts the skills this woman has. She doesn't need a man to save her.

Whatever Natasha whispers into Clint's ear it makes him smile. That man doesn't smile easily. Natasha is the one who gets under his skin.

In the restaurant. Nobody sits as close as those two, eating in utter silence. They are indeed comfortable around each other. They don't need personal space.

In the end Clint and Natasha drive off together. Wherever too, they are together. They like to keep each other company.

Avengers - Age of Ultron

Tony's vision of the future. Clint mourning. Natasha dead. Foreshadowing much!

Clint and Natasha share the same sweater.

Natasha is the only one who knew about Clint's family.

Clint doesn't look happy that Nat has a thing for Bruce.

Captain America - Civil War

Is Clint on Cap's side and not on Natasha's, because she's on Tony's side and he dislikes Tony so much?

Clint and Natasha fight each other but they don't stop being friends.

The Avengers - Endgame

Natasha suffers tremendously because of the many people Clint kills in his grief and loss.

Natasha wears the Arrow necklace. Does Clint see that? Did he realize what this means? Does Bruce see that? What does he think about it? Natasha doesn't hide the unique pendant in any way.

Natasha and Clint haven't seen each other for five years. How hard must it be to not see your best friend that long?

Clint mentions Budapest. She smiles. Whatever happened there, it is their secret, which they will keep to themselves forever.

Given that Clint wants to sacrifice himself he must know Natasha loves him, right? And given that Natasha wants to sacrifice herself she must know Clint loves her, right? Otherwise it doesn't work. When Clint says, okay, you win, the hurt in Natasha's face is unbearable, because she thinks he would let her do it, dying for him. She realizes that he tricked her when he hit her to get upper hand in this struggle. His face. Do you really believe I let you die for me? No way.

He begs her to hold on. He wouldn't let go of her. Not matter what is at stake. She makes the decision. Not him. Never him.

Clint gets the Soul Stone. The proof that he had lost what he loves.

Though Clint gets his family back he looks broken still about the loss of Natasha.

Hawkeye

When Kate's mom says that Natasha was good but still didn't stay alive, Clint doesn't tell her that Natasha died because that was a choice and not because she lost a fight.

Laura says 'I love you' to Clint, he says 'I miss you' back.

The saddest thing that nobody but Clint and Natasha knows what really happened on Vormir. Nobody else. How it went. How much Clint fought to save Natasha, to make the ultimate sacrifice to die for her, but she wouldn't let him win. She wanted to die for him and the world. She made her choice and he didn't have a chance to change her course of action.

Clint and Natasha's names stand next to each other on the New York Memorial.

Clint lives a decent and honorable life to honor Natasha's sacrifice. He still misses her and almost cries talking to her in spirit.

Clint knows about Natasha's sister and what her name is.

Why has Natasha sacrificed herself for Clint? She loved him. Duh! Yeah. Love is for children.

Clint knows the secret whistle. Of course he does. Besides Yelena he was the most important human being in Natasha's life.

Well. Like with Yelana, Natasha wasn't scared jumping off that cliff. All she could think about is that Clint was safe. That's how much she loved him.

Clint loved Natasha very much. He said it out loud. There's that, but we knew that all along, didn't we?

Clint hugs Laura, coming home, but he didn't kiss her, and he didn't say I love you, but I missed you. She says the same.

Is Laura reminded of the time Clint brought Natasha into their family greeting Kate, Clint's recent protégé? Well. I would be.
