First Scene:
INT. CSI -- LAB:
Greg is grounding up something in a mortar. Nick walks in and peers over his shoulder to see what he's doing. Greg tells him he doesnīt like it. Nick remains silent. He leans in to see what Greg is working on. Greg looks over his shoulder and gets annoyed. He tells Nick to step back and give him some breathing room. Nick does and Greg puts the mixture Nick has brought on the card and puts it in the machine. The machine processes the mixture on the card. The computer screen flashes the results: Tempered steel with aluminum coating. The victim was chained up. Then Greg tells Nick about the silver that Grissom found on the girl's back. Itīs liquid latex. Greg is suprised Nick never heard of it. Nick leaves. Second Scene:
INT. CSI -- LAB: Catherine, Grissom and Greg observe the masks and straws Catherine took out of the sink at Lady Heather's. None of them have been washed. Grissom guesses Mona, the victim was a switch for her off-the-books clients. Greg is very amused and impressed that Grissom knows what a "switch" is. He chuckles and smiles. Grissom doesn't smile back. Grissom needs to know which mask has Monaīs DNA and which straw she used. Greg sticks a sharpie pen in each nostril. One red and one blue. Grissom still doesn't crack a smile. Catherine says, Oh, nice. Mmm. Yeah, that's the idea, Greg. Two straws per mask. Greg tells, he found the victim's DNA on this mask and ... these two straws. Red mark: Victim; blue mark...Grissom continues: our killer. Now we just need a suspect. Best Dialogs:
Greg: "Liquid latex."
Nick: "Never heard of it."
Greg: "Really? It's all the craze right now, man. Girls paint it on guys. Guys paint it on girls. You can paint it on yourself if you want if that's what you're into. You can't get a date."
Nick: "I got it."
Greg: "Like I would know."
Nick: "Sure, sure. I got it, man."
Grissom: "Mona was a Dominatrix at the fetish club. But my guess is that she was a switch for her off-the-books clients."
(Greg chuckles.)
Greg: "You know what a "switch" is?"
Grissom: "Someone who's dominant as well as submissive."
Greg: "Oh, he's even got the lingo down." My Comment:
Only two scenes with Greg but two fantastic scenes I never get bored to watch again.
First there is the very interesting information about him being into liquid latex, and second his nervousness of Nick standing to close ("Would you step back? Just give me some breathing room?"), and thirdly his statement he never has trouble to get a date. Is he telling the truth or covering it up, I wonder.
Nickīs teasing "Whatīs up Einstein?" is sweet.
Gregīs laughter about Grissomīs knowledge in the BDSM scene cracks me off every time. He is so amused he teases Grissom even further until his boss throws him a killing glance and Greg stops intimidated. Hilariously funny.
Well, Greg isnīt cowed enough because now he puts two sharpie pens in his nostrils. Catherine is slightly stunned but Grissom is speechless, he only glares at Greg. I watched the scene over and over again and it still makes me giggle. This particular scene made me a fanatic G/G slasher for good.
Greg: "You're so dialed into this case, I'll bet you don't need me to tell you which mask had her DNA."
Grissom: "Yes, I do, Greg."
Oh yes, he needs you, only you.
The definite cherry on the cake is the dialog at the end without Greg.
INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT - HALLWAY:
Catherine and Grissom turn the corner and walk through the hallway.
Catherine: "I just realized that you and I have a very healthy relationship."
Grissom: "We do?"
Catherine: "Well, when we have a problem, I don't paint Greg Sanders in latex and stick a straw up his nose."
Grissom: "Good. He'd probably like it."
Catherine: "Gil ... you're supposed to say something revealing back to me."
Grissom: "Okay. I never told anybody this, Catherine ..."
What secret did he confide to her?
"I would like to paint Greg Sanders in latex and stick a straw up his nose."
No, of course not...but then...you never know...do you?
