Author: Stephen King Published: 1983 by: Doubleday German Title: Friedhof der Kuscheltiere |
IT'S ABOUT:
A husband and father who can't accept the death of a loved one and destroys his family, friends and future on his path to insanity.
MY OPINION:
Death. Loss. Suffering. Damnation. I cried reading the events of the funeral even though I read it for the second time; first time in English. This story is about the real horror in our existence, the end of our lives. Well, death is inevitable. The humans in this tale go every length to bring back what is already lost and it costs them everything, even all the memories and good times. In the end death is better. Grieve and remember those who you have lost. Take care of the living. That's the only way to heal and go on. If you're not able to do that you'll lose yourself and everyone else. One of the best novels Stephen has written, pretty short, too. ;)
