First Scene:
INT. CSI -- LAB:
Nick comes to Greg to ask for the results. A little while later Grissom walks into the lab and looks at the samples on Greg´s table. He takes them without DNA tags on them and leaves the lab as quick as he entered it. Greg complains to Nick how he hates when Grissom does that. He likes to make a presentation. Nick offers himself as an audience but Greg turns him down. They continue to look at the results under the scope. Second Scene:
INT. CSI -- LAB:
Greg looks over his most recent test results. He sees Grissom walking purposefully through the hallway. Greg grabs an empty file folder and exits the lab with the test results to catch Grissom. Greg babbles for a while before he tells Grissom the actual results.
Best Dialog:
Grissom: "I need these hairs."
Greg: "Uh, uh, no DNA tags on those."
Grissom: "Doesn't matter."
Greg: "You know, I hate it when he does that. I like to make a presentation, you know?"
Nick: "So, present."
Greg: "Eh, forget it. Scope's interesting."
Greg: "Uh, Grissom. There's, uh, something weird going on with the hairs from the ropes. Well, not weird. More like...hair-raising."
Grissom doesn't crack a smile.
Greg: "Sorry, bad one."
My Comment:
He likes to make a presentation. But not for anyone. Only for the boss himself. He doesn´t even look up when Nick walks in and says, "Hey Greg!" I like the way Nick smiles because he figures the reason for Greg´s disappointment and his own unappreciated role in this personal intermezzo.
The next time Greg sees the chance to make a presentation he almost runs to catch up with Grissom. He babbles a lot of unimportant nonsense and even cracks a joke (hair-raising! Nice one considering his hairstyle) before he gets to the point. Is he so nervous or so eager to be close to Grissom? Grissom looks not amused but rather impatient. Fact is I never saw a man look at another man in the way Greg looks at Grissom. No wonder I slash them.
