Children of Earth - Day Two

Ianto: Claws his way out of the destroyed Hub. Is shot at. Runs for his life. Calls Gwen. Hides in dark streets. Reads a newspaper. Goes back to the Hub. Observes. Writes a plate number down. Gets a secret message to his sister. Talks to his sister. Witness the children being controlled again. Tries to talk to a girl. Snatches laptop and carkeys. Witnesses Jack's suffering. Provides a bucket digger. Gets the concrete block out. Smiles at Gwen and Rhys. Drives the bucket digger. Drops the concrete block down a high slope. Gets in the car with Gwen and Rhys. Gets out of the car. Smiles at Jack. Gets back into the car.

Janto: Ianto's first concern after getting away is Jack. Ianto's constant concern is to find Jack. He does find him only for the cruel fact to witness Jack's cementation. Dear God. That's horrible and Ianto looks awful. He doesn't mess about long. He gets Jack out in his own droll way. He takes all measures to get him free and out of concrete. Smiles at Jack happily. Who is starkers. Hey! Sadly, there is no time to dwell on that.
Best Quote:
Ianto: "He pushed me too hard. He always did."

Best Dialogs:
Gwen: "Do you think he survived?"
Ianto: "He usually does."

Jack: "Told you I'd be back."
Ianto: "With a little help from us."

Innuendo:
Ianto's childhood wasn't a happy one. The relationship to his father was strained.
That implies he has issues about trust and letting himself go which makes a serious
relationship with anyone difficult. So, Jack is not the only one making things complicated.

How many times does Jack die?
Once. Cemented alive.

Gwen:
Fights for her life. Gets Rhys and herself underground. Tells him about pregnancy. Arrives with him in London.
Talks to a contact. With her help Gwen and Rhys are able to infiltrate the site where Jack is being held captive.
There they find a concrete block and trouble. But they are saved by Ianto and in the end reunited with Jack.

My Comment:
Action. Drama. Injustice. Sad background information about Ianto's childhood which is not further explained
but implies stronge issuses with his father. Worse. Aside from a short contact with his sister and Gwen,
Ianto is mostly on his own. Though he copes with it splendidly. Being the man, and all. Making the reunion even cooler.
Sadly, no touch, no kiss, no hug. Boo! That's not fair. I have waited patiently to see them
together again and you give me nothing. *pouts*

Dear Janto
