German Title:
Dead Zone-Das Attentat
IT´S ABOUT:
Waking up from a five-year coma after a car accident, former schoolteacher Johnny Smith discovers that he can see people's futures and pasts when he touches them. Many consider his talent a gift; Johnny feels cursed. His fiancée married another man during his coma and people clamor for him to solve their problems. When Johnny has a disturbing vision after he shakes the hand of an ambitious and amoral politician, he must decide if he should take drastic action to change the future.

MY OPINION:
Stunning. Suspenseful. I read it three times. Johnny is one of my favorite characters and will stay in my heart forever. The events in Castle Rock are the best part. The story of Frank Dodd always gives me the creeps. The tragic of Johnny´s destiny and his lost love Sarah is heartbreaking. Greg Stillson is one of the best villains ever. At the same time a very common and lifelike villain. The end is both, cruel and clever. Yes, there is more than one way to ruin a life for good.

8/10
